Enow Njock Foundation’s Transformative Impact in Ngoundere, Cameroon

Empowering Tomorrow’s Innovators.

In the vibrant yet resource challenged educational landscape of Ngoundere, Cameroon, a powerful moment of change unfolded on February 16, 2026. Through the Enow Njock Foundation, in strong partnership with Cart London, Silver Spring College Beka received a comprehensive upgrade to its digital infrastructure. This initiative addressed a longstanding barrier to quality STEM education and sparked immediate enthusiasm among students eager to embrace technology.

The Challenge: A Persistent Digital Divide

Across many schools in Cameroon, particularly in rural and semi urban areas, the absence of modern digital tools severely limits learning outcomes. Students often rely solely on textbooks and chalkboard theory for computer science and related subjects, with no opportunity for practical experience. This gap discourages enrollment in computer engineering and related fields, stifles innovation, and hinders the nation’s ability to develop a skilled tech workforce essential for economic progress.

The Enow Njock Foundation’s education program directly confronts this issue by providing tangible resources that enable hands-on learning, foster digital literacy, and inspire career paths in technology.

A Dedicated Effort: From Cleanup to Fully Functional Lab

The transformation began on February 15, 2026, when our committed team arrived at Silver Spring College Beka over the weekend. We rolled up our sleeves for an intensive day of work: thoroughly cleaning the space, installing modern chairs and tables, assembling equipment, and ensuring every connection was perfect.

The generous donation from Cart London, facilitated by the Enow Njock Foundation, included:

  • High-performance desktop computers
  • 8GB USB flash drives for student data management
  • Two color laser printers to support efficient printing of results and exam materials
  • A projector to enhance interactive teaching and presentations

This complete setup turned an underutilized room into a vibrant, modern computer lab ready for daily use.

The Reveal: Overwhelming Joy and a Surge in Interest

On February 16, we proudly presented the revitalized lab to the school administration and students from Form One through Upper Sixth. The response was electric students beamed with excitement, especially those in computer science who could now conduct real practical sessions.

The impact extended beyond current learners: many students who had previously avoided computer science due to the lack of equipment immediately expressed interest in enrolling. The projector, in particular, opens new possibilities for dynamic lessons, group demonstrations, and multimedia learning.

We conducted a thorough orientation on using the devices safely and effectively, then engaged in open dialogue. Students and staff shared additional challenges, providing valuable insights to guide future support.

Building Momentum: Our Ongoing Campaign and the Need for Scale

This donation represents a strong foundation and has already delivered measurable change. However, demand is growing rapidly enrollment interest has surged, and the current equipment, while excellent, cannot yet meet the needs of every eager student.

Silver Spring College Beka still requires additional computers, peripherals, and resources to fully support expanded classes and advanced training in computer engineering.

More broadly, countless other schools across Cameroon face similar barriers. To replicate this success nationwide, the Enow Njock Foundation is actively seeking more help, partnerships, and collaborations. We aim to partner with corporations, philanthropists, educational organizations, and individuals committed to digital equity in education.

Our ongoing campaign focuses on acquiring more computers and related tools to boost the computer engineering sector countrywide. With broader support, we can extend these life-changing opportunities to schools in every region.
