Enow-NJock Foundation (ENF) is dedicated to enhancing education in Cameroon. Collaborating with over 100 civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs), we undertake joint advocacy efforts to propel change and influence government policy for the betterment of education and development across Cameroon. Our multifaceted approach includes running our own schools, lobbying government entities, organizing sensitization campaigns, engaging with the media, promoting information-sharing within our networks, and advocating for excellence in educational endeavors. At ENF, we firmly believe in the strength of collective action to drive impactful change.

Over the years, the escalation in the number of orphans and vulnerable children in Cameroon has been a matter of concern. ENF remains committed to the provision of quality, inclusive, and formal basic and secondary education. Our initiatives manifest in primary and secondary schools as well as local communities. We have established two schools and offer support to other educational institutions, providing assessment materials and encouraging children’s learning through debate and quiz competitions. Additionally, we focus on infrastructural development, including the construction of essential facilities such as pit latrines, classroom blocks, and desks. We are also dedicated to fostering a safe learning environment by establishing and equipping sanitary facilities and providing scholastic materials for teachers, pupils, and students.

In collaboration with various stakeholders, we organize performance planning meetings, facilitate school inspections, and distribute inspection reports to different stakeholders. Through teacher training, school inspection facilitation, and the establishment of counseling desks in educational institutions, we aim to foster quality and inclusive learning for all children. We also organize parent-child community dialogue sessions to raise awareness about children’s rights, the value of education, participatory school governance, and positive parenting.

Our goal is to work towards realizing a Cameroon where injustices in education policy and delivery have been overcome. We firmly believe that addressing injustices in education is integral to rectifying social, economic, and political inequities. Through our work, we strive to enhance the quality, access, equity, and sustainability of education for all. Drawing on the strength of our national diversity and strategic linkages with civil society, our objective is to drive enduring change in the education sector. We aim to influence government and donor priority areas in pursuit of improved access and quality of education for all across Cameroon.
